Ford vehicles have always been on the bleeding edge of advanced automotive technology and convenient features, but no vehicle is truly perfect. Still, for as long as there have been cars on the road, folks have been coming up with innovative solutions to help alleviate those annoying little problems that crop up from time to time. This week, Ford published a helpful series of videos via its YouTube channel to provide a comprehensive resource of tips to help you make the most of your experiences in your Ford vehicle.
We have to admit that even with our years of experience with Ford vehicles, even we didn't know about some of these helpful tricks, or "car hacks" as they're called in the video. In particular, the tip about putting dryer sheets under your seat struck us as particularly useful. While we may not all by hockey players as the host of the video above is, chances are more than a fair few of us have dogs, and despite be lovable beasts, they do tend to track an odor, particularly after they've been swimming. In addition, it's interesting to see how conventional features, such as the new 2017 Ford Escape's available heated seating and remote start functionality can be used to keep you cool and comfortable on hot summer days, while keeping items like pizza or take-out food hot.
We do have one "hack" of our own that isn't mentioned in this video that we'd like to share with you. This one comes in particularly useful when you have to park your car in the sun during the sweltering Georgia summer, and want to avoid scalding your hands on a hot steering wheel when you return. In lieu of getting a steering wheel cover or windshield sun screen, you can always turn your steering wheel 180 degrees so that when you return, the top part won't be as hot as it would if you left the steering wheel upright. Of course, if you're driving the 2017 Ford Escape mentioned above, you could always do the remote start trick from the video for added affect. Regardless, we hope that this video was educational for you, and helps you to better enjoy your Ford vehicle and all its capabilities.
